In the fall of 2017, journalism pursuits brought my husband and I to the Pacific Northwest. I joined Crosscut in early 2018 as a staff writer in their growing newsroom. The non-profit news website is part of Cascade Public Media, which includes KCTS 9 public television.
My coverage area focused on growth and other issues affecting the changing region of Seattle, the Puget Sound and the Pacific Northwest. However, our time in Seattle was much shorter than we could have anticipated. In the spring of 2018, my husband was recruited for his dream job, which took us to Denver, Colorado.
